What is a Prenatal 3d / 4d ultrasound?

Prenatal 3d /4d ultrasound is the limited scan being provided. The opportunity to choose to have A NON-DIAGNOSTIC Ultrasound has been created largely in response to technological advancements in ultrasound and a mother's desire to share this bonding experience with family and friends.

Do I need to have a Doctor's referral?

NO. As this is a non-diagnostic service, no medical advice is given by A Window to your Womb and no referral is necessary. This service does not replace your medical ultrasounds. An ultrasound should be carried out by your Doctor before visiting A Window to your Womb.

When can I visit or you come to us A Window to your Womb ?

Your first visit to A Window to your Womb should be around the 18th week of your pregnancy and then at any time up to the birth of your Baby.

Are there any safety concerns?

According to the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, there are no known harmful effects associated with the medical use of sonography.

3D/4D Ultrasounds are as safe as a standard 2d ultrasound. In both 3d/4d and standard 2d ultrasounds, sound waves are sent into your body from a transducer (probe) resting on your skin. These sound waves are reflected off your body’s internal structures and are received by the transducer. The reflected sound waves are then converted into images on a monitor which can be recorded on video or film.

Is there any thing I should do before going to A Window to your Womb ?

In order to have a non-diagnostic scan with A Window to your Womb , it is compulsory that you are under the care of a medical practitioner and have had Morphology scans. (Referred by your practitioner.)
